I have been out at Michaels garage today, taking some shots of his Honda. Take a look at them in the bikes section.
The status on my own bike hasn’t got any much further than my last post. I have set up a table in my garage so that I don’t have to work with the engine on the floor.
I took of the camshaft cover, to take a look at the camshaft, which I also have to remove in order to change the cylinder gaskets.

This is a picture of the frame alone, I have had some trouble disconnecting the center footstand, so atm. it is still on.

This is a picture of the camshaft and valve springs.
I hope you will all enjoy the nice pictures of Michael’s Honda!

Hi everybody,
This is my first post on my weblog.
I do not have a picture for this post, though I wanted to show some progress on my Honda 400/4 restoration.
Tomorrow, or after I have got some sleep (whatever comes first), I will bring an update with some pictures of how far I have gotten, untill now I have splitted the bike into peices and gotten an almost complete frame. The frame needs a new black powder coating so it will look new and shiny.
The electrical wiring seems home-made and is pretty much rusty and rotten, so I think I have to make the new wirings myself.
This monday, the 27th of December 2004, I received a new genuine Honda exhaust system for my bike, which looks pretty nice. I ordered it from England, at a shop called David Silver Spares - http://davidsilverspares.co.uk/
I placed my order on the exhaust system one day before they closed for the holidays. I received an e-mail from them saying that it would take 2-3 weeks before I would receive my package.
I must say I got pretty impressed 5 days after, when I received my brand new exhaust system, the 27th of December 2004.
If you have an classic Honda motorcycle, I can really recommend David Silver Spares.
I will bring some pictures of the exhaust system as well.
I also need new high-profile aluminum rims and stainless steel spokes and new tires, for both the front and rear wheel. A new paint job for the tank and plastic side covers.
At this point, a new rear wheel is the most critical missing part for assembling the motorcycle again. As my two old rear wheels are in a pretty bad shape!
I hope some people will enjoy reading this weblog as much as I enjoy writing it. Feel free to post comments.
