Rolling chasis

At last, my frame returned from the powder coater after being bead blasted. It looks brand new, if not better. I was told that it would only take about 7 to 8 days, though it been almost 3 and a half weeks since I delivered my frame at the shop!

But still, I am happy with the result.

Here is the newly powder coated frame alone.

After a couple of hours assembling the frame with fork and wheels in my living room, I finaly had a rolling chasis. So I rolled the frame out to the garage and started mounting the engine. It was a bit heavy for one person though.

I am thinking of sending the engine casing to get glass blasted, before polishing it up. And again I am very happy with the result as well.

A little update

Okay, it has been quite a while since I have updated this webblog, so here is a little update of what is going on with the project.

Today I changed the cylinder and cylinder head gaskets.

The frame was sent away for beadblasting and powdercoating a few days ago.
I am really looking forward to the result of this!
As soon as it gets back, I will post some pictures of it.

I will also get the wheels restored, with brand new high profile racing aluminum rims, which I am also looking forward to.

So, stay tuned for the next update.
